Sadako Peace Day Message

From Diane Lopez in Springfield, Illinois, United States on 08/05/07:
Today in Springfield, Illinois, USA, we will hold a vigil to remember the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan in 1945. So many years: what have we learned? We pray/meditate/send our intentions for a world that calls for nonviolence, not war; for love, not hate; for compassion, not retribution. This begins in our hearts and our homes. It extends to each person and all of nature. The people of Japan, and all victims of war, are in our hearts today and every day. We ask their forgiveness for our lack of attention to the work of peace. We hope for a brighter future.

Send a message or a prayer of peace.
